stop pitching $1k copywriting retainers

(do this instead)

Most new copywriters do this:

  1. They learn copy for 2 weeks.

  2. Then they go pitch strangers on the internet $3k/month retainers.

  3. They get ghosted.

  4. They get upset.

Then they blame the model:

“Copywriting is dead.”

They blame the market:

“AI wiped out copywriters.”

They blame the outreach platform:

“Instagram is blocking my outreach.”

But the real problem is simple:

THEY HAVE NO PROOF OF ANYTHING!

Business owners don't care that you're a good writer. News flash: You're not Stephen King.

Business owners care about one thing: if they put a dollar into YOU, will they get two dollars back?

You are an investment. Nothing more, nothing less.

And no one invests thousands into someone with no track record.

So what do you do?

What’s the secret to landing $1,000-$4,000/month retainers…

(coming from someone who’s secured 7/8-figure brands on retainers as high as $8,300/month…)

You need to build ONE good case study to unlock 4-figure retainers.

And in my new video, I break down step by step:

  • Why free work is the FASTEST path to paid clients (free work = paid work)

  • What a case study actually is (it's a stupid simple Google Doc, not some fancy designed website)

  • How to know when you're finally ready to start landing clients

  • How to craft a case study that proves you’re an expert (even if you’re still new)

  • The exact numbers you need to show off in a case study to convince business owners to pay your $2,500/month Stripe invoice (whether you’ve generated revenue for them yet or not)

Remember…

All you need is 3-4 clients at $3k/month and you’re at $10k+ per month… and can quit your day job, or do whatever you want.

You're closer than you think. But you’ll struggle to get there if you aren’t actively building up proof of your skill.

P.S. Don’t skip this video. It’s one of the main reasons I was able to go from zero to $9,000/month in 12 months and averaged $10k-$15k/month for several years in a row.
