So somebody pitched me on clipping services this week. I get a lot of these because I’ve mentioned on my daily updates channel that I want to start repurposing content. People reach out, send portfolios, tell me about their process, etc.

But this guy Drew, man. He did something I was not expecting.

He didn’t ask. He just did it.

Instead of sending me a proposal or whatever, he went ahead and clipped my videos. Like, he pulled a bunch of my daily update recordings, cropped them into that nice little vertical window, captioned them, and even created some workflow that generates visualizations for shorts.

And then he put together a sales deck showing all of it. Live examples, full-width versions, short-form versions. I’m looking at this and I’m like, “What the hell can I do but say yes to this guy?”

Why I couldn’t say no
He’s done all the work already. I can see exactly what the output looks like. There’s basically zero risk on my end because the quality is right there in front of me.

I’ve done something like this myself a bunch of times and virtually everybody I’ve pitched this way ended up working with me. It’s probably the highest-converting outreach strategy I know of, and I don’t think it’s close!
